For our October 25th meeting, we met at Spring Lake High School to have lunch with the Interact Club and celebrate their fundraising efforts for the Helen Devos Childrens Hospital. Leading up to and during the annual Bayou Battle between the Spring Lake Lakers and Fruitport Trojans football teams, each school helped raise donations for the Helen Devos Children's Hospital. Weeks before the big game, Spring Lake Orchard Market and Fruitport Orchard Market took in donations from shoppers in each community. During the game, students and volunteers with each school, gathered donations from the crowd in the bleachers. With both communities efforts, the Spring Lake Interact Club delivered a check for $4,909.13 to Tami Elhart from Helen Devos Childrens Hospital on Friday, 10/25 at Spring Lake High School. Alex Rogalla, owner of Orchard Markets was also there to celebrate.

To top it all off, the Spring Lake Lakers took home the W during the annual rivalry game!

Go Lakers!
