John Mark recently earned his Eagle Scout Rank which is the highest achievement attainable in the Boy Scouting program of the Boy Scouts of America. For his Eagle Scout project, he planned and implemented the planting of 1,000 trees in the Crockery Creek Natural Area.  He is also a member of the Order of the Arrow, the national honor society of the Boy Scouts of America.  Being a member of this group provides many opportunities for service and leadership.

Finally, John Mark’s other interests outside of school include reading, skiing, camping, playing the trombone and traveling. One of his fondest high school memories was traveling to Europe with the SLHS Travel Club this past summer.
